Vinyl Microstore end of an era (via Kormoranos)

Από τον ερχόμενο Σεπτέμβριο, το vinyl microstore – το δισκοπωλείο με το οποίο έχουμε συνεργαστεί πολλές φορές στο παρελθόν και αγαπάμε όσο τίποτε άλλο στον κόσμο – γυρίζει σελίδα! Κρατάει το χώρο, το όνομα και το γενικό στυλ, όμως αλλάζει ιδιοκτησία κι αναδιοργανώνεται. Η Πέμπτη 22 Ιουλίου θα είναι η τελευταία μέρα λειτουργίας του υπό την παλιά διεύθυνση και το κλείσιμο θα γίνει με ολονύκτιο πάρτι μέχρι την Παρασκευή το πρωί. Από προχθές ξεκίνησε ξεπούλημα άνευ προηγουμένου με ΕΚΠΤΩΣΕΙΣ 30% σε όλα τα είδη, από τη Δευτέρα 19 το ποσοστό ανεβαίνει στα 50% και δεν αποκλείεται να δούμε και μεγαλύτερες προσφορές (τουλάχιστον επιλεκτικά). Υπενθυμίζουμε ότι ανάμεσα στις άπειρες ομάδες, δισκογραφικές, εκδοτικούς οίκους, συγκροτήματα, ραδιοφωνικούς παραγωγούς και djs που έχουν περάσει από το vinyl microstore, το vm radio και τα Yuria τα τελευταία περίπου δέκα χρόνια, είμαστε κι εμείς από αυτούς που συνεργαστήκαν με αυτό ή χρησιμοποίησαν το χώρο για παρουσιάσεις βιβλίων, μικροevents και συνεντεύξεις (ink press, dj Mehdi, The Twelves, feadz, Krista Muir, Think of One κ.ά.), ενώ πέρυσι ξεκινήσαμε μαζί και μια σειρά συνδιοργανώσεων (Nosaj Thing, The Fiery Furnaces και Μax Tundra) που σίγουρα κάπως θα συνεχιστεί και του χρόνου.

Sunday April 25th – OPTIMOGEDDON (the last Optimo party)

The last Optimo organised party in Glasgow is actually happening. I’m not there but i’m listening again really loud the killer exclusive mix they send us 11 months ago. I still remember Keith at the cantina at Mavillis square trying to manage the sauce from the hotdog…Happy days…

“Well. That’s all folks… the last ever weekly Optimo.

We will open at 9pm and hope to be on till 4am. Currently awaiting confirmation about the license. If not it shall be 3am. So that is at least SIX hours of Optimo…

We think a lot of people may turn out for this. Please be patient and good natured to each other and don’t skip the queue. People have booked flights from Brazil, Canada, Belgium, USA, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France and more just to be here on sunday. We are VERY humbled.”
