Hello all,
We celebrate 100 posts with an exclusive for Greece Wolf + Lamb interview i did a couple of months ago.
I believe it is Zev Einsberg who is answering those questions.
When and why did you started Wolf + Lamb?
Wolf + Lamb started as name for Gadi and I to DJ in New York under. After about a year we decided we wanted more control over the aesthetics and feeling of the shows, so we we started a series of parties under the same name… after a few years, we got tired of dealing with venues so we opened the Marcy Hotel, our venue, under the same name. After we started producing music, we began our record label, also under, you guessed it, the same name!
Which is the sound you represent and why you choose it. Give me some key facts and releases related to Wolf + Lamb.
We actually represent the slower, sexier side of dance music in general. We have no official sound, and what we do put out changes in mood and style all the time. Our latest record, Nicolas Jaar’s ‘Time for Us’ is so slow it hardly even enters into dance music at all!
What is going on with the Marcy Hotel and how different do you find Europe in opposite of New York.
Nothing now, it’s on a break. The only real difference is there are a lot more people into it, instead of one or two parties you have 10 in London. It really depends where in Europe you are, but the feeling at the Marcy can easily be anywhere in the world.
